About the Book
The Lazy Bachelor's Cookbook has been in the back of my head for years. A few years ago, I put it in the front of my head and wrote the book, usually at night, after my family had gone to sleep. Once it was finished, I found an agent in New York, who shopped it around to all the major publishing houses, without success. Then it sat around for a year or two, until I decided to publish it myself. That meant I had to start a Company.

About the Company

Marram Publishing began so that I could publish my book. Everything about it was more work than I expected, mostly because I had no money and had to do almost everything myself. It also took a lot longer to do everything than I thought it would, so I've had to keep the company afloat for two years (showing losses) while we got the book ready to print.

About the Web Site
Following is original text written by the author:
This site grew directly out of The Lazy Bachelor's Cookbook (which, in case you didn't know, you can buy on this site). The book condenses the knowledge I gained from fourteen years as a certified lazy bachelor, including:

  • How to survive on nothing but snacks
  • How to retire a millionaire just by altering your food choices
  • How to change the kitchen from the hardest room to pack when you move to the easiest
and much, much more!

About the Author
I was born in the log cabin my father built in the hills of western Kentucky. My mother died at a tender age, and we moved to the Indiana territory, where my father married again and we settled down to a quiet life of farming, clearing the land, and reading when I could. Upon reaching adulthood, I moved to Illinois and took up reading of the Law.
